About Us
Our Mission
Increase patient safety and process efficiency by improving visual inspection of surgical instruments.
The Issue
"There are roughly 4,000 - 6,000 reported annual cases of retained surgical items in the United States. Approximately one-fourth of the retained surgical items are instruments or broken parts of instruments and equipment."
These numbers do not include other issues, such as, cross-contamination, between patients, healthcare acquired infections, and operating time lost arising from bioburden remaining on instruments.
Our Story
NorthState Vision Technology has been a leader in digital inspection systems since 2008. We continuously work with our customers to identify areas of process improvement and provide cost effective, sensible, solutions. The area of surgical instrument visual inspection has been largely overlooked and as a result, has failed to identify and incorporate the latest technologies. Our Inspectis product line was developed to address this need.
Our products are made with top of the line components and the specifications are second to none. The Inspectis line of digital inspections systems was created with the sterile processing technician in mind and provides a wide viewing area and magnification control. This allows any technician with varying visual acuity the ability to zoom in and check the safety and efficacy of the instrument. With the capture image option, the technician can also document and catalog kits and instruments into the database for future reference.
The Inspectis product line will enhance and improve any Sterile Processing Department’s inspection process and we work together in order to integrate and streamline the systems into your workflow.
